Bree Melanson attended San Diego State University studying International Business with an emphasis in Spanish and Management. Among many jobs in college, Bree was a Grant Writer Intern at a local non-profit organization. It was always her aspiration to work in the non-profit field.

Although dance had been her passion and artistic gift since youth, it was immediately after graduation that she was offered a scholarship at The International Academy of Performing Arts in San Diego. The scholarship further ignited her thirst to pursue dance as a professional.

She is currently choreographing for several new music artists, children’s musicals, and the Special Olympics. She has performed at the MTV Movie Awards and with the artist Houston.

She moved to Los Angeles in 2002 and began training with the top choreographers in the industry. Bree has had the opportunity to workthroughout the U.S., Europe, India and the South Pacific.

She has danced and choreographed for the MTV Movie Awards, America's Got Talent, the Jimmy Kimmel Show and for industrials for Mercedes, Nike, and Honda.

Bree has also enjoyed choreographing for new music artists, music videos and commercials. Bree has been teaching for D.A.R.E. Dance for six years and strives to inspire her students and encourage them to trust their talents, capabilityand strength.

Recently D.A.R.E. Dance has expanded to her home town, PacificGrove, she is honored and thankful to be a part of the program in every way.
